Get your lawn ready for spring with three tips
It's spring and if you want to have the best looking lawn on the block here are a few tips for you to do over the next couple of weekends. It's simple and you will love the results!
Clean up the yard. Over the winter the yard may have accumulated leaves and debris. Keep your grass and soil ventilated by removing all the debris with a rake, which will get you started on the next step.
Aerate the lawn and soil so that your lawn can fully absorb oxygen, water and nutrients. This will break up the roots and allow the grass to spread and let the worms do their job. For more information on how to do this check out Lowes Guide on Lawn Aeration
Fertilize to get a healthy start. When your grass is just starting to grow it's time to add some fertilizer to keep it growing strong and looking great. There are many places to pick up fertilizer and I recommend Scotts Lawn products. Keep an eye out for the weather if possible do it the day before rain is predicted so it sinks into the soil.
