Troubleshooting Common Lawn Mower Problems
It's that time of year and if you experience a problem with your lawn mower, here's 5 things to try.
The Starter Rope is Hard to Pull or Seems Stuck: The bar you hold down on the handle that stops the engine when released may be engaged. Be sure to bring the bar down all the way to the handle before pulling.
Your Mower Won't Start: Gas tank is empty or old gas, can cause a mower to not start, drain the tank and fill with fresh gas.
You Lose Power in the Middle of Mowing: Possible Dirty air filter just clean or replace. If you were cutting tall grass: raise the cutting height on your lawn mower. Could be a dirty spark plug simply clean or replace.
Your Mower is Smoking - Your lawn mower's engine can smoke if your oil chamber is too full, or if oil leaked into the exhaust muffler when you tilted your mower to the side. If it's white smoke, turn it off and bring it to a professional.
Call Greener Fields and don't worry about it.
